Violence, Aggression and Abuse
Awareness Campaign

Highlighting and Reducing Violence, Aggression and Abuse directed at NHS Ambulance staff

The Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE) and NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSEI) have produced a national communications campaign in response to growing levels of aggression, verbal and physical assaults against NHS ambulance staff – both in control rooms and on the frontline when caring for patients.

The campaign launched in February 2022 with PR, posters, video and social media assets for use by our partners – largely communications teams in NHS ambulance trusts – as well as any other stakeholders who can help raise awareness of the campaign.

It will continue throughout 2022 and very likely beyond, assuming it is received positively.

This online resource centre contains several items of communications collateral and brand assets which can be downloaded and used by our communications partners.

It will be updated regularly when new subjects have been identified and new posters, films and other content has been created – so please do revisit on a regular basis.

Our key objective has been to portray ordinary people doing an extraordinary job. All subjects are based on real-life case studies that have been collected from staff in NHS ambulance trusts in England.

If you have any queries, please contact AACE Head of Communications Carl Rees via or 07958 547727.
